Cars 2

When I was asked to do another Cars cake, I wasn't sure what to think. It was the first time I had a repeat request! How to make it equally cool, but totally different? Like this:

The Cars logo I ended up printing out of paper, because let's face it - I'm no painter. Which led to yet another item for my Amazon wish list - an edible printer.

Coca-Cola Cake

Oh Pinterest, how I love you. Your recipes aren't always right, but once I experiment enough, they are always amazing! Here's my first Coca-Cola cake, thanks to Pinterest. I still have some more experimenting to do, because this one just doesn't look as amazing as it tastes!

All By Myself???!!!

After watching me bake and decorate cakes for ten months, my oldest daughter was VERY interested in helping each and every time I baked. So when her "school" birthday came up, I made a cake for her to decorate. "All by myself??!!"

Alright. I did get in on the action with her name and the number 5. And a sun. And a flower. And a moon. After this I made a few other plain cakes for friend's kids to decorate "all by themselves" for their own birthdays.

Nurse Appreciation Week

Ah, my friend Steph. She's amazing. Up to this point, I had done four cakes that she was directly responsible for - three for her family, and one for a co-worker of hers. And now it would be five, as she needed a cake for another co-worker, who is a nurse.

Extra Cupcakes

And with the extra cupcakes, I had to play around some more. But this time it was straight out of my imagination:

I didn't need any more cupcakes to eat, and neither did my kids (oh my gosh...understatement of the year). So I did a trivia game through my FB page.

Beach Party!

Youngest daughter? Check. Dad? Check? Now my friend was ready for special cupcakes for her middle daughter's birthday. Being a beach girl all the way, it was easy to decide what to do for her special day:

So out of six, I've made treats for three so far!

One day I got a call from a woman who was desperate for help. The baker she hired had a death in the family, and couldn't do her son's birthday cake anymore. How could I tell her no?

Plus, they wanted a toybox cake, and I was excited for such a challenge! I mean, making fondant look like wood? Again, at this point my closet cake decorator of a hubby would want you to know that he did the wood grain.

I even did my FIRST animal out of Fondant! I thought he turned out pretty darn cute.
